DAVID MARCUS: With Trump in power, 'South Park' seeks to get its edge back

FOX News

Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk spoke with Fox News Digital about his thoughts of "South Park" parodying him in an upcoming episode, calling it a "badge of honor." "South Park," Comedy Central's gold-standard animated sitcom, has launched its 27th season on America's television screens and, with President Trump back in the White House, politics is back on the menu for creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone. Much like our national media ecosystem, Trump and his presidency are the driving force behind almost every plot line in the first three episodes this year. Much of it is quite funny, but one does wonder: Where was all this hilarious hijinx regarding Joe Biden's "Weekend At Bernie's" presidency? The overarching premise of the season thus far is that, with the election of Trump, wokeness is finally dead.

em South Park /em Has Somehow Become Even More Depraved in Its Skewering of the Trump Administration

Slate

In the month since the new season of South Park began airing, the infamous animated show has somehow become even more depraved, and I mean that as a compliment. In Wednesday night's episode, "Sickofancy," creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker continue their all-out satirical assault on the Trump administration, and once again the series takes no prisoners. At one point, South Park's version of President Donald Trump suggests inserting a (very real) trophy gifted to him by Apple CEO Tim Cook up the anus of Trump's boyfriend, Satan. By the episode's end, we even see one longtime character forced into a new role as the president's "cum rag." Hey, if I had to be subjected to this image, you do too.

From GoldenEye to South Park: 10 of the best video games based on films and TV shows

The Guardian

While TV shows and movies adapted from games remain, generally, rubbish, there is no such curse the other way round. This seminal James Bond tie-in is the best example, showing that first-person shooters – previously the esoteric concern of hefty PCs – could excel on consoles. Its four-player split screen also taught an entire generation how to swear wholeheartedly at their peers. And to settle it once and for all: Oddjob is too small. Therefore playing as him is definitely – definitely – cheating.
